The first Sub-Zero, named Bi-Han, has officially been confirmed to make an appearance in the upcoming Mortal Kombat film. While it’s no surprise to see Bi-Han featured as one of the main characters in the film, there’s a rumour floating around that we might get to see his spectre version Noob Saibot make an appearance as well. The dark resurrected warrior has been one of Mortal Kombat’s fandom’s favourites since he was featured as a secret character in the 1993 video game Mortal Kombat 2.

Noob Saibot, whose name comes from both the character’s last names, but spelled backward, has one interesting and mysterious story in the Mortal Kombat franchise. To its beginnings as a mere Sub-Zero palette swap shadow, to his evolution as a soulless villain looking like the Grim Reaper in the series latest instalment Mortal Kombat 11, there is a lot to say about the character, but also a lot more to be said. He has grown to become one of the most powerful characters, and was even placed as number 12 the UGO Networks’ 2012 ranking of the top fifty Mortal Kombat characters.

Today’s Mortal Kombat video is all about Noob Saibot, I’ll go over his introduction in the franchise, how he evolved throughout the year, and his story in both timelines of the series.

  1. Who is your favorite Mortal Kombat character?! Let us know below!

Here are 10 Mortal Kombat Characters We Want to See:

  2. The reason he was a blacked out version of Kano in MK3 was because there were no actual "ninja" characters in MK3. There was no Scorpion, and Sub-Zero was unmasked now. So, with his silhouette being bald and his shoulder pads overlapping his shoulders a bit, Kano's silhouette was considered to be a better visual match for him.

This all changed for Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, though. That's when they brought in all of the pre-existing ninjas, as well as adding a couple new ones in Ermac and Rain.

  3. But seriously tho. Where in the firey pits of he'll did he get that sick sickle!?
And he keeps it in back at all times, just so casually!?

  4. spoiler alert just saw the movie last night, and need to vent about it. if u get hurt feelings then don’t read lol

actually, the new movie is so embarrassingly godawful, that annihilation is actually a better movie lol! the ONLY things that weren’t horrible about the new movie is just the fatalities, and the 2 scorpion/sub zero fights*. everything else is terrible, especially the no-plot, while annihilation is basically the actual game(good plot), with all but 2 of the characters we love, most of which actually do look good. the ONLY truly terrible part about that movie is the animality/crappy CGI dragon fight. annihilation was corny, but really fun, and this new movie was boring, cringeworthy(yes, more than annihilation), drawn out, no plot, shang tsung looked SO stupid and horrible….i’ve rarely ever been taken out of the movie simply by what 1 character looks like, but he was that bad, and a terrible acting job(no offense to the actor), i’d almost prefer the goro from the first MK movie!!!!!!!! and while i’m at it, the goro from the new movie was really bad too! nowhere near as bad as the first movies goro, but still REALLY bad. his body was fine, but his face was almost just hulk from the avengers, but with details stretched and tweaked, which ALSO totally ruined the entire movie illusion! definitely the worst of the 3 movies. now, i MAY be so furious and hurt, and offended because it was built up to be, and i was expecting an amazing movie, BUT that doesn’t mean i’m exaggerating lol.

btw, i’m not even gonna start on their character roster for the movie….BEYOND laughable, and that’s not even taking into account the almost most cliche thing ever to come out of movies—the handsome new made-for-movie main character that has a hidden past we find out later, that makes him “extra cool” lol.

*1 more awesome thing was lui kang doing the cheap multi-sweep that we have all had to deal with, and kanos response that we have all yelled “is that the only move you know?!?”! THAT was great!

  5. I do love how they had the creativity to take a simple pallette swap and turn it into an entire backstory for a new character. thats awesome

  6. Id love if it was noob playing everybody all along and he is the main villian in a future game maybe having everybody fight in mortal kombat to collect there souls for his own army so he can take over all the realms or something

  7. Great video. Just to clear the air between Scorpion and Sub-Zero, QUAN-CHi MURDERED THE SHI RY RYU NOT THE LIN KUEI. Sub-Zero has tried expressing this. Nobody’s listens 🗿
